my mission.

Me at Apple Park, Cupertino, during WWDC25

What's my mission? I want to create products. But not just products.

Nowadays, creating is not something to be taken for granted. Social media, doom scrolling, generative AI, copycats, market saturation. Many people replicate ideas or patch together products without fully understanding them, focusing on visibility or profit rather than impact. Sometimes it feels like the love for thoughtful creation is being lost. But then I see remarkable examples of craftsmanship that remind me why this work matters.

My obsession isn't to build apps that just add features. It's to build things that matter. To create products that are both beautiful and meaningful for people.

Beautiful because people can love things only if they are beautiful. Pieces of art, things that are so beautiful you'll be sorry to call them just "apps" or "software." The intersection of technology and liberal arts, like Steve Jobs envisioned it. Meaningful because technology should make our lives better, not worse. And today's technology can contribute to our lives like never before. There's never been such a better time to use it.

Each year, Apple makes a video featuring people who are still alive thanks to Apple Watch. Those people laugh and cry while telling about how that little product on their wrist saved them. I want to create things like the Apple Watch. Products that solve problems, that make lives better, that people love with all their hearts and feel grateful to use.

I don't want to follow trends. I want to put something out there that challenges them. That helps people remember why they started, what moves them, and where they truly want to go. Today's tools risk becoming cages if we forget why we build. I believe in creating not to impress, but to inspire. Not to add noise, but to make space for what really counts. Because this isn't just about writing code. It's about vision. About questioning the obvious, caring deeply, and daring to say: we can do better. It's about design driven by curiosity, honesty, and love for what genuinely improves lives, even in small ways.

My mission is to create purposeful art.

"We're here to put a dent in the universe. Otherwise why else even be here?"

— Steve Jobs
