Messier 92 Messier 92 — constellation labels

17 Apr 2026 • 22:36 - 22:53 CEST

Messier 92

Often overshadowed by its neighbor M13, M92 is showcased here as a dense, high-contrast stellar core. This wide-field study at 42mm perfectly frames the cluster within the Keystone's celestial neighborhood: M92 sits at the center, flanked by Iota Herculis (ι Her) to the left and Rho Herculis (ρ Her), 69 Herculis (e Her) and the orange giant Pi Herculis (π Her) to the right.

Heart of the Swan

A deep 42mm dive into the spine of the Swan, centered on the galactic plane. This view resolves the intricate stellar groupings between Sadr (γ Cyg) and the colorful Albireo (β Cyg), highlighting the immense star density of the Cygnus Rift. Fawaris (δ Cyg ) anchors the upper wing, while the red supergiant nature of Sadr begins to emerge against the rich Milky Way background.

Cygnus Widefield

A wide-field perspective of the Summer Triangle region, anchored by the brilliant Vega. The frame captures the majestic extension of Cygnus along the galactic plane, clearly resolving the celestial cross from Deneb (α Cyg) through Sadr (γ Cyg) to the colorful binary Albireo (β Cyg), with one of the wingtips marked by Fawaris II (δ Cyg), Iota2 Cygni (ι Cyg) and Fawaris I (κ Cyg), emerging from the suburban Milky Way glow.

The Great Globular Cluster in Hercules

A deep-field capture of the Messier 13 (M13) region within the 'Keystone' asterism of Hercules. The frame resolves the core of the Great Globular Cluster, situated along the western edge of the constellation between the primary stars Eta Herculis (η Her) and Zeta Herculis (ζ Her). Also visible in the wide field are the navigational anchors Pi Herculis (π Her) and the distinct line leading towards Tau Herculis (τ Her) and Sigma Herculis (σ Her).

Messier Double Play: M3 and M63

A deep-field capture targeting the relatively empty celestial region south of the main Canes Venatici asterism, nearing the borders of Bootes and Coma Berenices. This frame successfully isolates the globular cluster Messier 3 (M3) as a brilliant, condensed point of light. In the upper section of the frame, the Sunflower Galaxy (M63 / NGC 5055) is resolved as a subtle, non-stellar smudge.
